Donald R. Gordon represents studios, film and television producers, writers, and insurance companies on a wide range of intellectual property and related issues, including chain-of-title matters, copyright and trademark infringement, rights of privacy and publicity and defamation.

Donald focuses on the review of treatments, scripts, books, plays, television and internet programs, and fictional, fact-based docudramas, and documentary films and advises on potential violations of contractual or intellectual property rights as well as defamation, right of publicity, and invasion of privacy concerns. He currently reviews numerous animated television series' broadcast on the Fox and Cartoon Networks and advises on whether the programs constitute non-actionable parody and otherwise do not violate the rights of third parties.

Donald has reviewed the chain of title for hundreds of film and television projects to advise whether the necessary rights in the underlying literary properties have been obtained and to enable producers to secure errors and omissions insurance.
