Aaron Cilek assists individuals, couples, and families implement and manage comprehensive estate plans, trust and probate administrations, and business succession plans. He takes a client-centered approach to these matters—basing his advice on client goals, guiding individuals and families through court procedures and deadlines, and working to reduce federal and state tax exposure and administrative costs. Aaron works with a wide range of clients from high-net-worth families needing multigenerational planning to middle market business owners seeking foundational planning documents.
Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Aaron worked at a respected Portland-based estate planning, elder law, and probate firm, where he designed plans for a wide range of clients and handled multigenerational estate and business planning. Aaron also previously owned and managed a boutique estate planning firm in Naples, Florida.
Before Aaron began his legal career, he worked as a high school English teacher.
