Millionaire Tax Rattles Washington State 

Aaron C. Johnson, co-leader of Ballard Spahr's State and Local Tax Team, spoke with Bloomberg Tax about Washington State's proposed “millionaire's tax,” which has sparked robust debate in the local and regional business communities. 

“It seems to be a historic legislative session—from a tax perspective—every year now,” Aaron said. “We are undermining the approach that any prudent business would take in determining whether or not to remain in our state or to invest in our state.”
