Ballard Spahr Guides Parkway Corp. in Development Transaction for New Building in Philadelphia

Ballard Spahr attorneys provided legal counsel to Parkway Corporation for the development and construction of a state-of-the-art Center City building that will house offices for Chubb, the world’s largest publicly traded property and casualty insurer.

The project was announced today at a news conference at the site, currently a parking lot at 20th and Arch Streets. In addition to Chubb offices, the building will include ground-floor retail and an underground parking garage. Construction is expected to start in February 2023.

Ballard Spahr attorneys guided Parkway on real estate and finance aspects of the project. A longtime firm client, Parkway is a Philadelphia-based real estate developer, investor, and best-in-class parking operator.
