Mr. Turetsky is Of Counsel in the Business and Transactions Department and is resident in the firm’s New York office. His regulatory experience includes advising clients on an array of financial services products and business lines, including business and commercial banking, credit card and payment services, mortgage origination and servicing, and retail banking. He has handled matters before the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Board of Governors, and state attorneys general.

“Brian’s regulatory depth is an incredible asset to our growing team,” said John D. Socknat, who leads the Consumer Financial Services Group alongside Daniel McKenna. “The regulatory challenges our clients face are continuing to evolve, and a broad scope of experience is of the utmost importance. We’re pleased to welcome Brian to the team.”
Mr. Turetsky also has experience advising financial services clients in litigation, including class actions, qui tam matters, and internal investigations. Before becoming an attorney, he was a presidential appointee in the Clinton Administration, serving as a policy aide and liaison between the White House and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
“Bringing my regulatory and compliance practice to Ballard will enable me to expand the services I provide to clients,” Mr. Turetsky said. “Ballard has the best consumer financial services practice in the country, and I am excited by the opportunity to join this team.”
