IFLR1000 Names Ballard Spahr Arizona Firm of the Year for Corporate and Financial Transactional Work
IFLR1000, a premier international research and ranking guide to law firms and lawyers for financial and corporate transactional practice, has named Ballard Spahr its Arizona Firm of the Year for 2021.
The award recognizes exceptional performance by Ballard Spahr lawyers based in the firm’s Phoenix office and/or working on Arizona-related transactions. IFLR1000, “the guide to the world’s leading financial and corporate law firms,” bases its rankings on the market impact, legal innovation, size, and complexity of transactions handled across the range of corporate finance disciplines, including banking, project finance, capital markets, private equity, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and restructuring and insolvency.
Last month, IFLR1000 ranked 11 Ballard Spahr attorneys across the country in the 2021/22 edition of IFLR1000 United States, a directory of top financial and corporate U.S. lawyers and law firms. The recognized lawyers include Phoenix-based attorneys Craig Solomon Ganz, ranked in the Restructuring and Insolvency category, and Karen C. McConnell, ranked in both Private Equity and M&A. The guide also recognizes the firm for the excellence of its overall work on Arizona-related matters in the Financial and Corporate category.
”This award is a strong affirmation of the strength of our corporate finance and transactional practices,” Phoenix Office Managing Attorney Steve Savage said. “Our attorneys are widely recognized for their work on transactions across industries, from life sciences and technology to manufacturing, retail, and financial services.”
IFLR1000 United States also lists the firm for outstanding performance in Colorado, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. In addition to Arizona, Ballard Spahr was shortlisted for Firm of the Year in Colorado and Pennsylvania.
