Ballard Spahr's Anne Bensard Joins National Board of Women in Public Finance
Anne Bensard, an associate in the Finance Department of Ballard Spahr, has been appointed to the National Board of Women in Public Finance.
Ms. Bensard’s term will run until 2022. As part of her duties, she will be involved in the planning of a national conference the Mountain Region chapter of Women in Public Finance will be hosting in 2021.
Ms. Bensard serves as bond, disclosure, and underwriter's counsel in a variety of municipal finance transactions. Her work includes general obligation bond issuances, lease purchase transactions, revenue-backed financings, direct loans to governmental entities, and credit-enhanced securities. During her career, Ms. Bensard has participated in more than $500 million in tax-exempt municipal financings and has been an integral member of financing teams for hundreds of successful projects in Colorado. She has worked with a variety of issuers in transactions, including Colorado special districts, cities, towns, and counties.
Chicago-based Women in Public Finance is a professional networking organization for women in the public finance industry. It aspires to advance women’s leadership opportunities by fostering relationships and providing educational activities and forums. It has 20 chapters across the United States.
