Michele A. Kliem is a U.S. Patent Agent with extensive experience in thoughtfully developing and managing IP portfolios in biotechnology and pharmaceutical sciences and is a member of the Life Sciences team in Ballard Spahr's Patents Group. Michele prepares and prosecutes U.S. and international patent applications of academic and biotechnology start-ups.
Michele’s technical experience spans a wide range of technologies within biomedical and mechanical arts, including immunology, biotechnology, drug delivery systems, pharmaceuticals, neuroscience, drug formulations, genetics, molecular diagnostics, genome-editing, antibody engineering, medical devices, and nucleic acid- and protein-based therapeutics. She also has experience preparing infringement and validity analyses, litigation strategic planning, and filing Abbreviated New Drug Applications.
