Rachel Loscheider focuses her practice on employee benefits and executive compensation, within the firm’s Business and Transactions Department. Rachel has experience counseling clients on a wide range of employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including plan design and administration, benefit determinations, plan disclosures and policies, as well as both federal and state employee benefit plan compliance regarding ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA, CAA, and MHPAEA. She also evaluates cybersecurity due diligence policies and procedures of benefit plan vendors, negotiates vendor contracts, and manages requests for proposal for benefit plan vendors. Rachel also works with clients on employee benefit and compensation matters during mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to her role at Ballard Spahr, Rachel worked as an associate representing multi-employer benefit plans and long-term care facilities on a variety of regulatory compliance matters. While in law school, Rachel received certifications in Health Care Compliance and Health Law, interned with a pediatric healthcare system, and worked as a judicial extern with the Honorable Judge Dale O. Harris at the Sixth Judicial District Court of Minnesota.
