Ballard Spahr's Courtney Hunter Elected to Governing Committee of ABA Forum on Affordable Housing

June 9, 2022

Courtney E. Hunter, a Ballard Spahr affordable housing attorney based in the firm’s D.C. office, has been elected to serve on the Governing Committee of the Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development Law within the American Bar Association (ABA).

Members elected Ms. Hunter to the Governing Committee, which helps set policy and direction for the Forum, the ABA’s section devoted to law as it affects affordable housing and community development. The group serves as an information clearinghouse, presents educational and training programs for practitioners, and addresses new issues and ongoing concerns with affordable housing and community development.

Ms. Hunter is of counsel in Ballard Spahr’s Affordable Housing and Community Development Group. She represents housing authorities and private developers on a wide range of complex affordable housing and other real estate development transactions.

Ms. Hunter’s appointment continues Ballard Spahr’s long tradition of service on the Governing Committee. Previously, Amy M. McClain, now Chair of the firm’s Real Estate Department, and Paul Casey, now a retired Ballard Spahr partner, served on the committee before each went on to later serve as Chair of the Forum.
