Bloomberg took a look at the seven financial-crimes lawyers who are in the running to be U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York and spoke to Margie Peerce, a member of Ballard Spahr's White Collar Defense/Internal Investigations team, about what’s important in the selection process. “It is important that whoever the next U.S. Attorney is continue with the tradition of the Southern District, to maintain the integrity,” she said. “Being able to trust the word of a prosecutor is critical in our world.”
