Ballard Spahr Helps Create World's Third-Largest In-Flight Entertainment Company

Ballard Spahr represented Burrana, an aircraft cabin technologies company, in the acquisition of Collins Aerospace's commercial in-flight entertainment (IFE) business.

Burrana—an indigenous Australian word meaning “to fly”—will be the third-largest IFE company, with 300 customers and 1,400 planes. Its product portfolio includes overhead and seat-back consoles, lighting mechanisms, and content offerings.

The Ballard Spahr team was led by Business and Finance Partner Todd A. Reece in Salt Lake City. It included Business and Finance Partners Peter W. Hennessey and Richard S.
