President-Elect Joe Biden has chosen veteran DC operative Ron Klain as his chief of staff. He has extensive experience, having served as chief of staff to Vice President Al Gore (1995 – 1999) and Joe Biden (2009-2011). Klain also served as the “Ebola czar” for the Obama administration, and this experience is crucial to the Biden administration’s plans to fight COVID-19. In his announcement, President-Elect Biden said, "His deep, varied experience and capacity to work with people all across the political spectrum is precisely what I need in a White House chief of staff as we confront this moment of crisis and bring our country together again.”
