Courtney L. Yeakel focuses on complex commercial and class action litigation, with an emphasis on financial services litigation, in federal and state courts. Courtney devotes her practice primarily to class action defense, mortgage-related litigation, credit card-related litigation, debt collection litigation, and servicing-related litigation. She has successfully handled numerous appeals in the Third Circuit, the Sixth Circuit, the Pennsylvania Superior Court, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the New York Court of Appeals, and has practiced before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Courtney regularly represents lenders and servicers in connection with claims alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act (HOEPA), Uniform Commercial Code (UCC), and state UDAAP statutes.

In her more than 20 years of litigation experience, Courtney has achieved a significant number of victories through trial, arbitration, summary judgment, advantageous settlement, and on appeal.
