
Lily Wound is a corporate lawyer with over 20 years of experience in licensing and other intellectual property transactions who focuses on the life sciences and climate change sectors.
Lily advises companies in a wide range of complex commercial, licensing, and other intellectual property-related transactions. Her work in life sciences touches every stage of the lifecycle of a life sciences product, ranging from early-stage development to commercialization, in an array of transactions. She has extensive experience advising companies on the frontier of science, including in fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), gene therapy, gene editing, and engineered cell therapies.
Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, Lily worked at a multinational law firm, and also served as in-house counsel at the Hearst Corporation media company, including serving as the general counsel of Zynx Health, Inc., an evidence-based, clinical decision support solution, as well as serving as the lead business lawyer for the Hearst Newspapers Division.
