Megan Wemmer is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Ballard Spahr, LLP and a member of the firm’s Finance Practice Group. Her practice focuses on all aspects of commercial real estate financing transactions, including commercial mortgage-backed securities, multifamily acquisitions, refinances, new construction transactions, affordable and market rate transactions, joint ventures and bond financing.
Ms. Wemmer represents financial institutions and investments banks in their roles as issuers, underwriters and mortgage loan sellers in both public and private offerings of commercial mortgage-backed securities and other structured finance products. She represents developers and mortgage lenders in financings of various types of commercial real estate, including mixed-use projects and condominiums, healthcare facilities, multifamily portfolios, bridge loan financing, tax credits and mezzanine debt. Ms. Wemmer also advises her clients on the corporate structuring of entities and the transfer of partnership, corporate, and limited liability company interests in connection with real estate transactions.
