Abran Vigil focuses on litigation involving real estate, time share and resort memberships and development, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and banking, with additional emphasis in trade practice disputes and business torts. He also represents various industry sectors in complex collection matters and has recovered millions of dollars for his clients in post judgment enforcement proceedings.

Abe has substantial experience representing the financial services industry in a variety of actions, including those brought under various federal and state statutes and regulations. His consumer and commercial finance and banking litigation experience includes class action defense, multidistrict litigation, defense of lender liability claims, qui tam actions, and state-level regulatory issues.

He has handled disputes over the management, control, and ownership of businesses. In addition, he has obtained favorable results for his clients in disputes involving insurance bad faith and product liability.

Over his career, he has obtained more than 100 receiverships in disputes involving real property, loan enforcement, complex collections, business divorce, and cases involving conversion of assets. He also regularly represents state and federal court appointed receivers.

Representative Matters

  • Represents a federal receiver appointed to recover assets in connection with a $1.3 billion judgment
  • Represents time share development companies in membership and development disputes and against third parties to enforce various forms of unfair competition laws 
  • Secured a $47 million settlement for a special servicer after an evidentiary hearing to appoint a receiver over a large regional shopping center
  • Represents large dollar judgment creditors to recover hidden or otherwise fraudulently transferred assets and to monetize judgments
  • Regularly defends Nevada based publicly held corporations against shareholder challenges to mergers and acquisitions
  • Represents private equity investors in matters involving corporate governance
  • Has successfully litigated and tried adversary proceedings to establish the non-dischargeability of debts
  • Has arbitrated or tried dozens of cases involving fraud, embezzlement, tortious interference, contracts, real estate, and Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices
