Mohammad (Mo) Tashakor is a corporate and transactional attorney who advises public and privately held companies in corporate and commercial transactions. Mo focuses on securities and capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and matters involving cutting-edge technology, including Blockchain and cryptocurrencies.

During law school, Mo was an intern at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and a global financial services company. At the CFTC, he researched and monitored registration and compliance issues involving registered entities. At the SEC, Mo investigated violations of federal securities law. Mo also served as an intern in the in-house counsel’s office at Citigroup, where he oversaw preliminary revision of risk management policies and standards.

Representative Matters

  • Represented several leading investment banks as underwriters in a registered note offering of up to $300 million for a regulated utility
  • Represented a sales agent in an at-the-market registered offering of up to $300 million in common stock
