Mohammad (Mo) Tashakor is a transactional attorney who advises public and privately held companies in a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions. In particular, Mo’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity capital-raising transactions, securities law compliance, intellectual property transactions, and general corporate representation.

During law school, Mo was an intern at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) and the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) . At the CFTC, he researched and monitored registration and compliance issues involving registered entities, and at the SEC, Mo investigated violations of federal securities law. Mo also served as an intern in the in-house counsel’s office at Citigroup, where he oversaw preliminary revision of risk management policies and standards.

  • Represented a Fortune 100 company in connection with the sale of its global operations management and safety consulting business to a Swiss private equity fund
  • Represented a telecommunications company in negotiating a five-year contract extension with a payment solutions and billing services provider
  • Represented a publicly-traded casino operator in connection with several strategic multi-state partnerships with leading sports book operators for online sports betting and iGaming market access
  • Represented several leading investment banks as underwriters in a registered note offering of up to $300 million for a natural gas company
  • Represented an institutional brokerage firm as sales agent in an at-the-market registered offering of up to $300 million in common stock for a regulated utility
  • Represent various clients in negotiating and preparing licensing agreements, SaaS and cloud services agreements, distribution and manufacturing agreements, and other commercial agreements
  • Represent a lender in various warehouse lending and MSR transactions
  • Represent a multinational financial services company in Securities Exchange Act of 1934 reporting compliance matters
  • Represent an aerospace company in Securities Exchange Act of 1934 reporting compliance matters
