Richard Sterns is an associate at the firm. While earning his law degree, Richard worked as a Business Development and Marketing Coordinator at a national law firm, where he researched and developed proposals to provide legal services for affordable housing development transactions. He also served as a legal intern at the software provider Cvent, Inc., where he assisted with commercial contract negotiations, privacy and data security matters, and other technology transactions.

Richard's experience also includes serving as a legal extern at the U.S. Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration, where he worked with attorneys in the Chief Counsel's Office on matters ranging from procurement litigation to Freedom of Information Act requests.

Prior to attending law school, Richard served as an intern for a U.S. Senator and a Missouri State Representative.

He was a 2017 Ballard Spahr summer associate.
