Nate Stanger is a transactional attorney in the firm's Finance Department. His practice focuses on project finance and commercial lending. Nate has served as underwriters' counsel, purchasers' counsel and bond counsel on numerous tax-exempt and taxable debt offerings. He also represents financial institutions and borrowers in a variety of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured revolving credit facilities, asset-based loans, and syndicated credit facilities. Nate also represents both public and private companies in asset purchases and divestitures. Before entering law school, Nate worked as an urban forester for the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.

Representative Matters

  • Served as purchasers’ counsel to investors in connection with the offering of $50,000,000 of tax-exempt bonds to construct a sludge processing and gasification facility
  • Served as underwriters’ counsel to a leading investment bank in connection with the issuance of $185,000,000 of tax-exempt bonds used to finance the construction of a plastics to fuels conversion plant.
  • Served as bond counsel and underwriters’ counsel in connection with the issuance of $314,055,000 of tax-exempt bonds used to refund a prior series of bonds to construct a facility converting solid waste to renewable diesel fuel.
  • Served as lenders’ counsel to senior note purchasers in connection with the financing and construction of a civil courthouse.
  • Served as lenders’ counsel to senior note purchasers in connection with the financing and construction of a bridge and tunnel project.
  • Represented a commercial bank in the extension of an asset-based loan to a private company borrower with a total commitment of $18,000,000.
  • Represented a private company borrower in the closing of a $450 million syndicated secured credit facility.
  • Represented a large financial institution in a $65 million asset based revolving credit facility to a private equity portfolio company providing maintenance, repair and operations services with $12.9 million in secured subordinated debt to a syndicate of private funds.
  • Represented a North American trucking and freight company in its $50,000,000 sale to a private equity firm.
