Mark Salsbury's goal is to help clients increase the ROI of their deals. He does this through smart tax planning, practical deal design, and tenacious advocacy for his client's deal terms, with a practice focused on M&A transactions, financings, entity formations, and investment funds.

Mark represents private equity funds, closely-held businesses, and public companies. Over the past three years, he has advised on more than 50 M&A transactions across a range of industries, including manufacturing, distribution, services, food products, consumer goods, technology, and health care.

Previously, Mark served as international tax counsel for a Fortune 500 company. He currently represents U.S. companies doing business abroad as well as foreign companies doing business in the U.S.

  • Represented a non-U.S. company in an acquisition of a U.S. company using tax-advantaged financing.
  • Represented a medical device company in connection with a spin off and subsequent sale to a NASDAQ-listed company.
  • Represented an NYSE-listed equipment manufacturer in an acquisition of a public company following a spin-off of an unrelated business.
  • Represented a leading industrial/commercial water treatment company in a sale to a private equity fund.
  • Represented a closely-held food products manufacturer and seller in connection with an investment by a venture capital fund.
  • Advised on the tax aspects of a sale of a multinational consumer electronics business in a transaction governed by Section 363 of the Bankruptcy Code.
  • Represented an Italian private equity fund in acquisitions of U.S.-based audio equipment companies.
  • Represented sponsors in structuring and forming private equity and real estate investment funds.
  • Advised on complex work out and debt restructurings of several manufacturing and distribution businesses.
