Maya Salah is a member of Ballard Spahr's Labor and Employment Group as well as its White Collar Defense/Internal Investigations practice. She advises national and international clients on employment and business immigration matters, focusing her practice on employment-based immigration, I-9 audits, and corporate immigration compliance.

Maya is a former prosecutor with the Hennepin County Attorney's Office and a former investigator for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the City of St. Paul Department of Human Rights. She leverages her experience and insight into the way government investigations and enforcement actions work and applies that knowledge when handling complex employment and immigration compliance matters.

Maya has lived on three continents, speaks four languages, and brings a global perspective to her representation of employers of all sizes. She represents clients in matters involving a wide range of employment-based visas, including visas for managers and executives, treaty traders and investors, artists and entertainers, and people of extraordinary ability. Maya routinely counsels employers on matters arising under Title VII, FLSA, FMLA, and ADA, and she defends companies subject to inspections by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Department of Labor (DOL).

Maya also assists employers with mediations, human resources policies, and training programs.
