William H. Rooks litigates complex commercial disputes in federal and state courts. He drafts dispositive and discovery motions, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda. He has represented public companies in investigations into the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, and advises companies facing alleged violations of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Will also represents clients in settlements and at mediations.

Prior to attending law school, Will served as an assistant to former Georgia Rep. John Barrow. In that position, he researched, analyzed, and briefed the congressman on agriculture, immigration, and intellectual property matters.

Representative Matters

  • Won multiple dispositive motions for Fortune 100 companies, including a motion to dismiss an appeal before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals
  • Defeated transportation lawsuit resulting in no client liability and successfully asserted third-party claim
  • Obtained more than 24 voluntary dismissals through motions practice while defending Fortune 100 company against serial litigation
