Richard S. Perelman concentrates on representing financial institutions and borrowers in a wide variety of financing transactions, including secured and unsecured revolving credit facilities, term loans, asset-based loans, acquisition financing, and second-lien and mezzanine loans, including special purpose joint venture financing.

Rich also has extensive experience representing financial institutions in debt restructurings, workouts, and bankruptcy, as well as purchasers of assets from companies in bankruptcy. He has been active in counseling parties about uniform commercial code and potential creditors' rights/bankruptcy implications in lending, mergers and acquisitions, and other transactions. He is also active in the bankruptcy/Uniform Commercial Code aspects of securitization transactions and is a member of the firm's Opinion Committee, focusing on lending, UCC, and creditors' rights issues.

  • Represented Administrative Agent in $225 million Credit Facility to portfolio of affiliated operating companies secured by all assets

  • Represented lender in $35 million Credit Facility to law firm and separate $4 million equipment finance facility
  • Represented lender in $250 million discretionary line of credit to public consumer goods company
  • Represented lender in $50 million Credit Facility to service provider.
  • Represented lender in $39 million Credit Facility to healthcare provider
  • Represented lender in $8 million equipment finance facility to manufacturer
  • Represented lender in $14 million Credit Facility for the acquisition of a portfolio company involved in critical cleaning innovation
  • Represented lender in three related Credit Facilities aggregating $27 million to separate Funds of the same Sponsor to support acquisitions by the Funds

  • Represented public home builder in $1.7 billion revolving credit facility and separate $800 million term loan facility
  • Represented public technology company in $75 million Credit Facility
