Kristina is an associate in the firm's Finance Department with a focus on P3/infrastructure matters, as well as energy, project finance and real estate finance matters. She represents issuers, financial institutions and investors on tax-exempt and taxable financings for public projects, including transportation and multi-family housing. Kristina is experienced in navigating both federal and state regulatory requirements and managing transaction closings. She has drafted, negotiated, and reviewed an array of legal documentation, including indentures, loan documents, offering documents, and escrow agreements.

Before joining Ballard Spahr, Kristina was a public finance associate at another New York law firm and a legislative correspondent for a Senator in Washington D.C.

Experience 

Representative Matters

  • Counsel to the Georgia Department of Transportation for the I-285/I-20 East Interchange design-build-finance project and design-build program
  • Served as bond counsel in connection with the issuance of $129,405,000 of tax-exempt bonds including $90,000,000 of green bonds to refinance Energy-from-Waste facilities which safely convert approximately 21 million tons of waste from municipalities and businesses into clean, renewable electricity to power one million homes and recycle 500,000 tons of metal annually
  • Served as purchasers’ counsel to investors in connection with the offering of $239,500,000 of tax-exempt bonds and $10,000,000 of taxable bonds to construct a solid waste disposal facility, including a feedstock evaluation unit that converts waste polypropylene to ultra-pure recycled polypropylene
