José Ramón Garcia Madrid is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, focusing on public finance matters. He has experience drafting documents for public finance transactions, including indentures of trust and UCC-1s, and reviewing corporate leases. As a Ballard Spahr intern in 2021, José researched elements of fraud by non-disclosure, municipal water rights, and COVID-19’s effect on statutes of limitations across states.
Prior to law school, José worked at the Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project in Phoenix, where he served as a legal assistant in the Unaccompanied Children’s Program.
