Eric J. Knickrehm is a health care attorney who divides his time between transactional and regulatory matters. He counsels a variety of clients in the health care industry—such as private equity funds, practice management companies, lenders, insurers, managed care plans, hospitals, post-acute care providers, and physician practice groups—in mergers, acquisitions, investments, underwriting, and financings across the country, as well as in regulatory compliance matters. Eric also represents health care trade associations, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers, and post-acute care providers.

Eric maintains an active regulatory counseling and compliance practice. He focuses on compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, state laws governing telehealth, and state and federal fraud and abuse laws.

Before transitioning to a full-time legal practice, Eric worked in government relations, with a focus on health care policy, at a major D.C. government relations firm, where he helped clients develop legislative strategy to achieve their policy goals on Capitol Hill. Eric also served in the Office of Legislation at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, where he helped develop and implement such notable health care laws as the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act and the 21st Century Cures Act. His government and policy experience enables him to offer clients strategic guidance in their efforts to shape federal health care policy.
