John A. Kimble is a financial services attorney with particular experience in regulatory compliance, enforcement actions, and complex civil litigation. He has in-depth knowledge of the laws and regulations across a broad range of industries, including mortgage lending, auto lending, consumer and commercial lending, deposit accounts, payment systems, and life and health insurance.

John advises clients on regulatory compliance with regard to fair lending and servicing, deposit accounts, overdraft protection, payments, electronic fund transfers, the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act, Unfair, Deceptive, or Abusive Acts and Practices, and the Community Reinvestment Act. He drafts responses to enforcement actions, including civil investigative demands, 30-day letters, and Potential Action and Request for Response letters from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and other regulators. John also represents financial institutions in complex litigation matters, including class actions in federal and state courts throughout the United States.

Pro Bono Experience

John maintains an active pro bono practice. He drafted a manual detailing the rights of nonparent caregivers, successfully argued a client's case before a parole examiner, and obtained a remand of a veteran's benefits case alleging medical malpractice.
