Matthew B. Jones represents banks, lenders, credit card companies, mortgage lenders and servicers, and other financial services companies in all aspects of commercial, consumer finance, and mortgage litigation. He conducts real estate foreclosure sales on behalf of clients and assists in all pre- and post-foreclosure matters. Matthew assists lenders in planning, negotiating, and documenting commercial debt restructurings involving notes, guaranties, revolving credit agreements, term loan agreements, and secured lending under Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code.

Before entering private practice, Matthew worked as a compliance officer for a large, national bank where he researched complex regulatory issues involving federal statutes, including the Truth in Lending Act, Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Home Ownership and Equity Protection Act, and Equal Credit Opportunity Act. He identified issues through the evaluation of policies and practices to formulate resolutions, and conducted oversight testing efforts.
