
Sophie Jordan is an Intellectual Property associate who focuses her practice on patent matters. Prior to joining Ballard Spahr, she worked at an Atlanta IP law firm, where she prepared and prosecuted patent applications for mechanical, electrical, biomedical, and computer technologies.
While attending law school, Sophie worked as a contracts associate for the University of Georgia’s Innovation Gateway. In that role, She negotiated nondisclosure and material-transfer agreements, conducted prior art searches for new technologies, and reviewed patent applications. She gained additional experience as a law clerk for a Georgia firm, where she drafted materials in civil and criminal cases.
