Niki Ikahihifo-Bender is an associate in the Intellectual Property Department. She focuses her practice on matters pertaining to patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and securities, as well as litigation. In addition to performing research, Niki drafts discovery and motions, identifies deposition designations, and assists partners with preparing witnesses for deposition and trial testimony. Niki also advises her clients on the registration of copyrights and trademarks with the Copyright Office and U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

Pro Bono Experience

Niki maintains an active pro bono practice. She has represented refugees in asylum applications, helped non-profit dance schools to overcome music copyright issues, and successfully registered trademarks and copyrights for small businesses. During law school, Niki volunteered with Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and the Duke Law Innocence Project.
