Shaina E. Hicks represents public and private employers in federal and state court employment litigation involving discrimination, whistleblower complaints and retaliation, harassment, wage and hour, restrictive covenant, breach of contract, leave laws and accessibility claims. Her practice also focuses on counseling and providing training to employers on a wide range of labor and employment issues, assisting companies in drafting employment policies and handbooks, and conducting workplace investigations. In addition, Shaina also represents and counsels employers on traditional labor law issues and regularly works on interest arbitration, grievance arbitration, unfair labor practice charges, and collective bargaining negotiation.

Shaina's practice is also dedicated to working with employers of all sizes on the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion (D&I) programs. Specifically, Shaina assists employers in designing, growing and maintaining programs and policies which foster diversity and inclusion within an organization’s governance, workforce, procurement, supplier diversity and community engagement structure.

Pro Bono Experience

Shaina maintains an active pro bono practice, routinely representing low-income tenants in landlord/tenant matters.
