Eben Hansel is a Real Estate partner whose practice covers all aspects of commercial real estate law and transactions, including permitting, title, zoning and environmental issues, acquisitions and dispositions, site development and construction, project financing, loan workouts and acquisition of distressed assets, and leasing.

He represents owners, developers, lenders, and investors in Maryland and throughout the country. His clients include national retailers, public REITs and private-equity investors, banks and non-traditional lenders, office and laboratory tenants, community development corporations, and nonprofit organizations.

  • Representation of a private equity investor in the acquisition of a $500+ million nationwide triple-net lease portfolio
  • Representation of a public university on the development of a 14-acre biotechnology campus that will comprise 1.8 million square feet of lab and office space at full build-out
  • Representation of a private developer on the acquisition and development of marina assets around Baltimore's Inner Harbor
  • Representation of a national developer of mixed-use technology campuses on the development and leasing of office and laboratory space across the country
  • Representation of a private developer on the acquisition, financing, and redevelopment of several historic mill buildings in Baltimore
  • Representation of a national retail landlord on an alternative lease portfolio
  • Representation of the developer of a 260-acre waterfront redevelopment project in Baltimore that will include a global corporate headquarters, residences, retail, and new public amenities
