Sarah B. Dannecker is an associate in the Business and Transactions Department. She has experience representing clients in a variety of corporate transactional matters, including securities law, assisting financial institutions and bank holding companies with mergers and acquisitions, and privacy and data security laws and regulations in areas such as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). She also assists companies with data breach investigations and responses, as well as researches and prepares multi-state surveys and analyses relating to banking and privacy laws. Prior to joining the firm, Sarah worked as a patent prosecution paralegal at a national intellectual property firm and as a contracts manager in the legal department for a global water and energy company.

Pro Bono Experience

Sarah’s pro bono work includes assisting nonprofits with converting to a 501(c)(3) organization, representing a client in an eviction expungement through the Volunteer Lawyers Network, preparing and filing a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) renewal application, and preparing documentation for a case involving human trafficking.
