Tyler B. Burns is an associate in the firm’s Litigation Department, focusing his practice on securities enforcement and corporate governance litigation matters. He also has experience with matters involving insurance coverage, bankruptcy fraud, evidentiary issues, prevailing wage laws, land use and zoning, and landlord/tenant disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Tyler served as a law clerk to the Honorable Juan R. Sánchez, Chief United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and as an intern for the Honorable Joel H. Slomsky, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
In 2018, Tyler graduated first in his class from the Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law. As a law student, he gathered experience by interning in a wide array of real-world settings—from disentangling intricate compliance issues and drafting transactional agreements for a Fortune 500 company to briefing motions and responses for the Law Division of the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Pro Bono Experience
During law school, Tyler was a volunteer for the Military Assistance Project, where he assisted veterans in regaining control of their financial status through Chapter 7 bankruptcy .
