Bob’s experience focuses on matters involving corporate trust structures and he has worked with a wide spectrum of corporate trust products, including residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), commercial mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed products, municipal bonds, and corporate bonds. His matters have included new transaction reviews, workouts, litigation, and representation during government inquiries. Bob also is experienced with the management of cross-functional teams involving regulatory, risk and control, and compliance functions.
- Managed a team of in-house attorneys that advised clients on matters relating to risk, control, financial crimes, and other regulatory issues that internal counsel needed to address.
- Served as managing counsel and led a team focused on municipal bonds, corporate debt, multifamily housing, leased-based structures, like-kind exchanges, and escrows.
- Served on a legal team that provided counsel in the corporate trust default and restructuring space, specifically workouts, EODs, SEODs, litigation, subpoenas, and similar issues.
- At a large financial institution, worked cross-functionally to provide legal support to professionals involved in asset-backed services (including Delaware trust structures, longevity, subprime auto, back-up servicing), RMBS (including master servicing issues, master servicing default oversight, servicer management team, EODs, SEODs), municipal bonds, and corporate bonds.
