
Amelia Barnes is an associate in the firm’s Finance Department, focusing primarily on commercial and real estate finance.
Amelia represents lenders and borrowers at all phases of credit transactions in both commercial and real estate matters. Her practice spans commercial and investment banks, private equity sponsors and corporate borrowers in connection with financing transactions across a variety of industries, as well as advising clients in connection with acquisitions and general corporate matters. She also has previously represented clients from a variety of industries during initial public offerings and regular public company filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Amelia has experience drafting and negotiating various transaction documents, public filings, proxy materials, governance documents, and other strategic agreements.
Prior to her role at Ballard Spahr, Amelia was a capital markets associate at a New York-based multinational law firm.
