Pia Aklian is a corporate and transactional attorney in the firm’s Business and Transactions department, focusing on mergers and acquisitions. Pia advises clients ranging from emerging businesses to multinational, public companies across various industries. In addition to mergers and acquisitions, Pia advises clients on venture capital investments, licensing arrangements, commercial contracts, and general corporate matters.
Prior to her role at Ballard Spahr, Pia was a corporate attorney in the Philadelphia office of a large regional law firm. Pia also served as general manager and in house counsel to a software company specializing in software development services for life sciences, health care, and business enterprises.
