Peng Shao is an associate in the firm’s Los Angeles office, focusing on complex financial services litigation. He has represented both defendants and plaintiffs on a class-wide basis in trial and appellate courts across the country.
Before joining Ballard Spahr, Peng practiced at a leading class action firm in San Francisco, where he gained experience litigating complex class matters concerning consumer protection, antitrust, financial services, investor protection against securities fraud, and civil rights class violations under the Unruh Civil Rights Act and FEHA. Peng has also collaborated with governmental entities such as the SEC for securities fraud investigations.
Peng is a graduate of UC Davis School of Law. There, he proudly represented UC Davis as a senior member of the Immigration Law Clinic and brought a case before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Peng received his B.S. in Biology with honors from University of Kentucky and is published in the Journal of BioChemistry.
