Ballard Spahr entered the Las Vegas market in 2006 when it merged with a highly regarded native firm of five attorneys, including the former chair of the Nevada Gaming Commission. The office has more than doubled in size since then, offering sought-after counsel in real estate, litigation, business transactions, white collar defense, and government relations.

The real estate practice focuses on institutional lenders, special servicers, investors, and developers with financing, restructuring and workout, and zoning needs. Litigation spans all manner of commercial and business tort disputes, including consumer financial defense, white collar defense, media and entertainment cases, and government and corporate investigations and compliance. Our attorneys also handle securities, M&A, tax, and other business transactions, and our gaming and licensing practice focuses on licensing, structuring, investigations, disciplinary proceedings, and regulatory compliance issues.

Pro bono service is a hallmark of the firm, and the Las Vegas attorneys contribute numerous hours to pro bono cases every year. Attorneys and staff are fixtures in the community in Las Vegas and serve many deserving causes, including the St. Vincent de Paul dining facility and other nonprofits that assist abused and neglected children, homeless families, and the underprivileged. The office is located in premier office space within Nevada's first "green" certified corporate center.

At Ballard Spahr, we believe our clients are best served by innovative solutions that spring from varied viewpoints and perspectives. And we are committed to creating a vibrant community where people of all backgrounds can thrive. Ballard Spahr is nationally recognized for its commitment to diversity and inclusion and ranked fourth in the nation for its percentage of women equity partners by The American Lawyer. Our Las Vegas attorneys support minority student organizations at area law schools.
