Roger Winston will be giving a national American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) webinar presentation entitled "Top Ten Issues Common to Large Scale Multi-Year Projects and Mixed Use Projects" on Wednesday, February 22, 2017. Joining Roger will be Meredith Kane, also an ACREL Fellow, in the New York office of Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison LLP.

Even the most experienced lawyer needs to actively manage the timing and priority of, in addition to advising his or her client on, a multitude of issues when handling a large scale urban and mixed-ownership development projects. Issues facing a lawyer charged with organizing and managing the many components and moving parts associated with these projects include team assembly, site acquisition, land-usage and zoning, mixed-ownership venture and ownership structures, REAs, financing, economic incentives, and changes in municipal government and the economic cycles. The panel will explore these issues to prepare attendees for common issues affecting large multi-year urban and mixed-ownership projects. Meredith Kane will discuss the critical issues and considerations that goes into the planning and implementation of successful large scale and mixed-use projects. Once these projects are completed, their continued success will be heavily influenced by how well their components continue to work going forward. Roger Winston will discuss alternative ownership and operational structures for integrated mixed-ownership projects to ensure their long term success and viability.
