John C. Grugan
Katayun I. Jaffari

The Securities and Exchange Commission’s recent enforcement actions have aggressively targeted individuals, including corporate officers. In addition, SEC Chair Mary Jo White has made clear that the SEC increasingly will seek admissions of wrongdoing as a condition of settlement, and that settlements by corporations will not impede or deter enforcement actions against officers of those corporations.

Mr. Grugan and Ms. Jaffari will join a panel discussing the current enforcement climate and its implications for corporate governance. The panel will offer the perspectives of in-house counsel at a large national corporation and outside counsel.
