The number of regulations and industry standards that affect information security and privacy has grown in the past decade. New regulations are on the horizon at all levels. More importantly, President Obama has thrown down the cybersecurity gauntlet with his new Executive Order that directs the federal government to share cyberthreat information with the owners of systems that are critical to the country's infrastructure and to develop voluntary cybersecurity standards.

Many organizations are subject to international, national, state, local, and industry mandates for protecting specific types of information in various ways. Some of those mandates conflict with each other, and organizations spend countless hours trying to ensure they are in compliance with all the right control requirements.

In this webinar, Mr. Salter and Ms. Mushahwar will address the following questions:

  • What changes are pending in the regulatory landscape?
  • How should these new regulations be interpreted?
  • How will the new regulations affect our information security and privacy programs?
