Greg Szewczyk, who is Of Counsel in the Denver office of Ballard Spahr, has joined the Advisory Board of Protect Our Winters, a Boulder-based 501(c)(3) that focuses attention on climate change.

“Colorado is unique in terms of the accessibility of outdoor options, from hiking and skiing to climbing and biking,” Mr. Szewczyk said. “But, as anyone who spends time in the outdoors knows, climate change is threatening many of the things we treasure in Colorado—and the rest of the world. If we don’t take action, our children will not grow up with the same beauty and way of life we have enjoyed. I’m looking forward to working with Protect Our Winters to advance non-partisan policies that turn our passion for the outdoors into action for climate.”

Founded in 2007 by professional snowboarder Jeremy Jones, Protect Our Winters aspires to bring together outdoors enthusiasts, scientists, and businesses to mitigate the effects of climate change and address the multi-faceted and systemic causes of global warming. More information on Protect Our Winters can be found here.

In addition to joining Protect Our Winter’s Advisory Board, Mr. Szewczyk plans to offer pro bono counseling to the organization.
