Ballard Spahr—a national law firm with more than 650 attorneys across the United States—has moved its New York City location to vibrant new office space on the thriving west side of Midtown Manhattan. Located on the 19th floor of 1675 Broadway, the larger, state-of-the-art office accommodates Ballard Spahr's recent growth as well as anticipated future expansion as the firm continues to deepen personnel and capabilities in New York City—an important pillar of Ballard Spahr's 15-office national platform.

Ballard Spahr opened a New York office in 2013 through a merger with prominent litigation boutique Stillman & Friedman. Since then, the office has more than doubled in size and now serves as home base to 30 attorneys serving New York, national, and international clients in a wide range of areas, including litigation, real estate, corporate, bankruptcy, intellectual property, and consumer financial services. Ballard Spahr's New York litigators practice in First Amendment and media law, antitrust, commercial litigation, white collar and criminal defense, securities enforcement, professional liability, and consumer financial services. Transactional attorneys in the New York office advise many of the nation's largest companies on commercial real estate transactions, mergers and acquisitions, securities law, corporate restructurings, and the sale or acquisition of distressed assets. Ballard Spahr's New York attorneys represent leading clients across the spectrum of industries, including banking and financial services, media, pharmaceuticals, real estate, and retail and fashion.

Most recently, well-known New York real estate finance lawyer Jeffrey S. Page joined Ballard Spahr along with two attorneys from his real estate finance team, adding even greater depth to the firm's nationally recognized real estate practice.

"An office that started four and a half years ago with 14 lawyers exclusively focused on litigation has blossomed into an even more dynamic, multipractice office with the breadth and depth to represent clients in their largest and most challenging deals and cases," said Marjorie J. Peerce, co-Managing Partner of the New York office. "We are growing because clients realize they can expect the same outstanding legal work product, exceptional client service, and added value across all of our New York practices that they have come to rely on from the firm as a whole."

The new office in one of the City's epicenters of growth and development provides easy access and practical, comfortable environs for clients.

"Our new, next-generation office space means we can continue to provide the very best legal services in an energized, client-friendly setting," said Denise L. Plunkett, who serves as New York office co-Managing Partner along with Ms. Peerce. "This is an exciting time for Ballard Spahr in New York."

The New York office shares Ballard Spahr's firm-wide commitment to diversity and inclusion as well as community service. Pro bono service also is a hallmark of the firm, and our New York attorneys devote more than 1,000 hours to pro bono cases every year.
