Ballard Spahr advised CID Entertainment, an innovator in VIP music packages and events, in its sale to Atlanta-based PrimeSport. The acquisition expands PrimeSport’s roster of more than 150 team, league, and event partnerships to include elite music festivals, concerts, and live stage shows.

CID event clients include Bonnaroo, Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Desert Trip, as well as tours by artists such as Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, and Phish. CID founder Dan Berkowitz will remain as CEO and the company will continue operating under the CID banner.

PrimeSport—a leading sports VIP, travel, and hospitality firm—has a roster of partnerships with clients such as the NCAA Final Four, the NHL, the PGA Championships, the Daytona 500, and many professional and college football teams. The combined companies have more than 200 employees in offices in Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Diego, Atlanta, Raleigh, and Nashville.

Ballard Spahr represented CID in all aspects of the sale. The legal team was headed by Business and Finance Partner Gregory L. Seltzer along with Associate Kimberly Klayman. Mr. Seltzer is experienced in M&A transactions in the music and sports industries.
