Lila Shapiro-Cyr, a Baltimore real estate attorney, has been named to the Planning Committee of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) 2015 U.S. Law Conference.

Ms. Shapiro-Cyr joins a team of real estate lawyers responsible for planning and organizing this year’s conference, scheduled for October 28-31 in Phoenix. She has been an active participant in the Law Conference since 2005, speaking on a variety of topics.

"I am honored to be a part of the distinguished group of lawyers collaborating to plan the ICSC Law Conference. The Law Conference is an important opportunity for retail real estate legal professionals to gain industry-specific knowledge and insight," said Ms. Shapiro-Cyr. "It also provides a chance to network with over 1,300 industry peers."

A partner in Ballard Spahr’s Real Estate Department, Ms. Shapiro-Cyr represents clients in real estate leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing. Her practice focuses on shopping center and mixed-use development, as well as affordable housing development.

Founded in 1957, the ICSC is the shopping center industry’s premier global trade association, with more than 65,000 members in approximately 100 countries.

With more than 100 lawyers, the firm’s Real Estate Department is one of the largest and most diversified in the nation. Its attorneys represent real estate clients in acquisition, financing, leasing, and distressed real estate transactions and have handled real estate work in nearly every state.
