Ballard Spahr has been named an “IP VIP” by BTI Consulting Group for its excellence in providing client service in all aspects of intellectual property legal work.

The firm was among only a dozen in the United States to be named to the list as part of BTI’s Intellectual Property Outlook, its annual study of the IP and IP litigation market. The firms were identified in a survey of in-house attorneys on the basis of the quality of their work in both complex and routine matters involving IP litigation and patent work. Ballard Spahr was also recognized in the survey as a leader in the following categories: “Go-To IP Firm,” “Best for Complex IP Litigation,” and “Best for Routine IP Litigation.”

BTI Consulting Group interviewed more than 175 Fortune 1000 general counsel and IP decision makers at top-spending organizations in collecting data for the Intellectual Property Outlook. The survey included client feedback on more than 200 individual law firms and was conducted from December 3, 2013, to June 10, 2014.
