Ballard Spahr's nationally recognized Housing Group has launched Housing Plus, a blog focusing on the latest news, trends, and developments in the housing industry.

Housing Plus will be written by members of the firm's housing practice, which includes more than 70 attorneys who are leaders in providing innovative and practical advice in the development and financing of housing and community development projects nationwide. Bloggers from other Ballard Spahr practices will occasionally provide commentary on issues that are relevant to housing, including labor and employment, social media, energy, health care, environmental compliance, and innovative financing options such as the EB-5 Program.

The blog debuts as the housing industry continues its recovery and housing transactions are on the rise. Government support of housing projects is shifting, forcing owners, developers, investors, syndicators, lenders, and governmental agencies to approach housing development and finance more creatively to build more vibrant, affordable, and sustainable communities.

"Housing Plus will keep close watch on these evolving trends," said Mary Jo George, Practice Leader of Ballard Spahr's Housing Group. "The blog will be a go-to resource for the latest developments in the housing industry and for thoughtful analysis on a variety of issues relating to housing development and financing."
