For the third consecutive year, Ballard Spahr has earned the Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) in recognition of its outstanding women leaders and for fostering professional opportunities for women attorneys.

Instead of simply recognizing individual policies and practices, the certification honors large law firms whose policies have succeeded in creating women leaders. The firms must show that women constitute a meaningful percentage of equity partners, members of governance and compensation committees, and the most highly compensated attorneys.

“This certification doesn’t just recognize efforts to advance women; it measures successes,” said Lynn E. Rzonca, the co-head of the firm’s Ballard Women affinity group. “We're proud that our record of success has given us our third WILEF Gold Standard Certification.”

Ballard Spahr has a long-standing commitment to advancing women in the legal industry. Its women’s initiatives have been recognized by organizations such as the Pennsylvania Bar Association Commission on Women in the Profession and The American Lawyer.

The firm supports affinity groups for women.
